Common membership questions:
The ADA and ASDA are two different organizations that work together to support you.
The ADA Office of Student Affairs (OSA) advocates and supports dental students and faculty. The OSA provides credible solutions to help the dental school journey and the transition from dental school to life as a dentist. ASDA is an independent student-run association that protects and advances the rights, interests and welfare of students pursuing careers in dentistry.
As a student, in order to join the ADA, you must be a member of ASDA. Once you're a member of ASDA, you will automatically receive ADA student membership and full benefits. Visit ASDAnet.org to join.
When you graduate from dental school, you will need to update your profile information at ADA.org/levelup to level up your membership from student to dentist and stay connected to the tools designed to help you thrive. ADA membership is free for 18 months after graduation or for the duration of a graduate program.*
*State and local society dues may apply.
